We are proud of the moves we have made to become a Health Promoting School.
The school meals are of a very good quality and follow the Government’s Nutritional Guidelines.
The meals are provided by a company called Chartwells and we work hard with them to develop menus which the children like.
Recently we invited parents to join the children at lunchtime for a meal. They were very pleased with the quality of the food and our arrangements for the children.
We also hold ‘Theme Days’, eg St. Georges Day, where a special menu is provided and children can take part in competitions.
We also sell healthy snacks at morning break, and many children take advantage of this provision, which is in addition to free fruit for the infant children.
Our Healthy Eating Policy is available below but also from the school office if you wish.
